She first became popular when videos of her freestyling became popular on social media platforms such as Instagram. A Career from 2016 to 2017

She released her first single “Like a Stallion” in April 2016. This was followed by the small SoundCloud-exclusive mixtapes of Rich Ratchet (2016) and Megan Mix (2017). She made her professional solo debut in September 2017, with the commercially released EP Make It Hot. The EP’s single “Last Week in HTx” amassed several million YouTube and became her most successful single during this time. She released the song “Stalli (Freestyle)” in 2017, as a rework of late musician XXXTentacion’s “Look at Me!.

A Career from 2018 to 2019

Megan signed with 1501 Certified Entertainment in early 2018. An independent label in Houston run by T. Farris and owned by former baseball player Carl Crawford. In March 2018, she performed at SXSW and she is the first female rapper signed to the label. She released a 10-song EP titled Tina Snow in June 2018, under the label. Megan announced in November 2018, that she had signed with 300 Entertainment, also making her the first female rapper to be signed by the label.
