Who is Quavious Keyate?

Quavious Keyate Marshall is best known professionally as well as Quavo a popular American rapper. He is best known as the co-founder and former frontman of hip hop group Migos. Quavo is the uncle of late fellow Migos member Takeoff and cousin of Offset. He is also a partial owner of the FCF Glacier Boyz.

Outside of Migos, Quavo has been featured on several U.S. top 10 hits, including Post Malone’s “Congratulations”, which was later certified Diamond by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA); as well as DJ Khaled’s “No Brainer” and “I’m the 1”, the latter of which peaked at number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. He was born on April 2, 1991, in Athens, Georgia. The 3 members of Migos grew up together in Gwinnett County, a mostly suburban area 30-40 minutes northeast of Atlanta, Georgia.

In 2008 Migos was formed by Quavo and fellow rappers Takeoff and Offset. The three members are directly related and were raised together by his mother. Quavo is Takeoff’s uncle, and Offset is his cousin. The group was originally known as Polo Club and is from Lawrenceville, Georgia. They changed their name to “Migos” following deciding Polo Club was too generic. On August 25, 2011, the group launched their 1st full-length project, a mixtape titled Juug Season. On June 1, 2012, they followed with the mixtape No Label.

In 2013, Migos rose to prominence following the launch of their single “Versace”. Quavo had his 1st lead single as a solo artist with the track “Champions” featuring several other artists. The track peaked at number 71 on the Billboard Hot 100.
