Adele signed a record contract in 2006 with XL Recordings right after her high school graduation. 19, her first album was released in the year 2008. Artist Adele made her career debut in 2006, four months after her graduation. She released two new songs in the fourth issue of the online arts publication Previously, she had recorded a three-song demo for a class project which she gave to a friend. This opened up her doors as she received calls from the boss of the music label XL Recordings, Richard Russell. Jonathan Dickins became her official representative. Billboard released a report on 27th August 2015 that Adele’s label, XL Recordings, had intentions of releasing her third studio album sometime in November 2015. Sia revealed that Adele helped her in co-writing her song, ‘Alive’ which was originally intended for Adele’s third album. She stated that her album, 25, was sort of a makeup record. She intended to make up for the things she did wrong, things she never did, time lost.

The album was about knowing the woman she had become. On 20th November, Adele released the album with the lead song “Hello”. It was first played on 23rd October on Nick Grimshaw’s Radio 1 Breakfast Show on the BBC in the morning while she had a live interview. With the release of the Hello video on October 22nd, it gained over 27.7 million views within 24 hours on YouTube.

The song broke the Vevo record for the most views in a day, surpassing the 20.1 million views for “Bad Blood” by Taylor Swift. BBC released a report on 28th October that the single was being viewed on YouTube an average of a million times per hour. The album 25, reached number one on the UK Albums Chart on 27 November. Additionally, it was the fastest-selling album in UK chart history having sold over 800,000 copies in the first week.

Adele’s tour was announced in November 2015 her first tour since 2011. She performed live on four dates at the Manchester Arena in March 2016, and six dates at the O2 Arena, London. Adele also performed in Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, and Germany, among others. She began her North American Tour began on 5 July in St. Paul, Minnesota.
